First time out in about 4 or 5 weeks and first time on the X15. Quite gusty to start off with but we did not want to miss the best of the wind. Started off with 30knots runs and not quite able to keep the power on all the time. The sail was great and very stable. I was the weak link in the whole set up and just did not have the fitness and stength to drive through the chop and gusts.
As the tide dropped the wind dropped a bit and I managed a few good 32 knot runs. It was just a bit too choppy for some real fast speeds but the day was excellent training.
Al was on some gear my Grandad would have used and posted some really good times. Time to spend some more money on specialist speed gear.
